In 1973 she graduated from the Leningrad State Institute for Theatre, Music and Cinema (course of A. Musil).
As a student of 4-th course debuted on the stage of the Alexandrinsky theatre play by A. Stein Night without Stars (directed by A. Musil), where she played the role of Victoria.
In Alexandrinsky Theatre worked for 10 years — from 1974 to 1984. Here, her acting successes associated with the names of A. Musil, V. Ehrenberg, N. Sheiko, A. Sagalchik. In the performances of these directors actress played a Hero (Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, directed by V. Ehrenberg), Barbarina (Green Bird by C. Gozzi, directed by N. Sheiko), Bella (Evening Light by A. Arbuzov).
From 1984 to 1988 A. Islenteva lives and works in Tallinn.
