People’s Artist of Russia, Andrey Smolyakov
He graduated from GITIS in 1980 (class of O. Tabakov). He has been at the Moscow Tabakov Theatre since 1987. His work includes: Gorn “Kamera obskura“, Doctor “Another Van Gogh ?”. His film work consists of more than fifty titels, among tham are: „Father Sergy” (1978), “Frontier” («Year of 41-st » — 1984), “ Noble robber Vladimir Dubrovsky” (1989), “Hello, duraley!” (1996), “Silent whirlpools” (2000), and also serials: “Birthday of Burghuy” (2000—2001), “Glacial age” (2002), “Investigation is conducted by experts” (2002).
In 2002 Andrey became the owner of the prize of the International K. S. Stanislavsky fund and of expert jury from “Moscow first performance“ for the lead in performance “The Actor“.

Andrey is from our “veterans“, from that epoch designated “Maugly“ and „Two shafts”. Those his achievements were not forgot in due course. They had some internal value. He placed an order on the future and this order confirmed. The nature gave him many talents, distinct scenic charm, excellent to plastic. He should not assert his positions at the Theatre. They already are firm and reliable. In „The Last” and in „Kamera Obskura” he confirmed his position once again. I chose Strindberg?s play „the Father” specially for him.
